Dalai Lama's 18 Rules for Living

1. Take into account that great love and great achievements involve great risk.

2. When you lose, don’t lose the lesson.

3. Follow the three Rs:

Respect for self

Respect for others

Responsibility for all your actions.

4. Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck.

5. Learn the rules so you know how to break them properly.

6. Don’t let a little dispute injure a great friendship.

7. When you realize you’ve made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.

8. Spend some time alone every day.

9. Open your arms to change, but don’t let go of your values.

10 Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.

11. Live a good, honorable life. Then when you get older and think back, you’ll be able to enjoy it a second time.

12. A loving atmosphere in your home is the foundation for your life.

13. In disagreements with loved ones, deal only with the current situation. Don’t bring up the past.

14. Share your knowledge. It’s a way to achieve immortality.

15. Be gentle with the earth.

16. Once a year, go someplace you’ve never been before.

17. Remember that the best relationship is one in which your love for each other exceeds your need for each other.

18. Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.

My Passions for Music

I love music, I guess It's rare to find people that don't. I don't think or stride to be a big time recording artist, but I would like to make some music that my friends and family can bob their heads to. I MC, sing, and I am in the process of learning how to produce. I'm an amateur right now, I've got a feeling I'll be alright at it if I keep working toward the goal though. I've been listening to beats all day. Finally I chose seven that I'm going to use for a seven track mix tape. Nothing to crazy, just trying to make some good positive music. Happy to be doing this project, can't wait to put it out when I finish. Might be a month, might be a few months from now before I'm done. It will get done though and I anticipate seven good quality tracks. Can't wait to share my vision, so look out for me.

Captive

I can't stand the thought of captivity,
but rooms with locked doors don't bother me
Lock me in a cell
Throw away the key
Keep my body hostage
for all of eternity
Beat me black and blue
Show me the definition of pain
Take everything I own
and do it all in vain
Strip me of my clothes
and leave me in the rain
Whip me with your whips
Imprison me with your chains
Destroy my mother
and burn my father
Bring tears to my eyes
and laugh in my face
take my body
Do it all in vain
Let my soul fly
I want to sore with the birds
You can deprive me of material
and attempt to hurt me with your words,
but you'll never get rid of me
My soul is not yours

Lovely People.

I don't mind spending time
watching people pass me by
beautiful people
lost people
happy people
insecure, sad people
people in love
people who need love
we all need love
i love to watch the people
doing their thing
everything that they do
i love people
even when they don't know it
i do
i watch them with wonder, curious eyes
hills, boots, jeans, slacks, and ties
dresses, skirts, shirts, and accessories
behavior, character, attitudes, and outlooks
these people are interesting to me
from the way that they look
to the way that they see
i love these people
but they don't know me

Some tracks from a while back.

-A few tracks Josiah and I made a while back. Our version of a studio was only a MacBook Pro. Just having fun, making music. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it.
